Comcast is a lot better (and cheaper) by comparison, although still not great.Honestly, RCN when it first came out was amazing, gig internet for like 50 a month. It slowly crept up in price and after the merger we constantly had issues with our internet dropping. We stuck with RCN for a few years due to my Hatred of Comcast. Now surprisingly Comcast has actually been pretty good. Really no downtime or outages to speak of ...I had Comcast for 7 years, it constantly went out. My internet would time out checking email. Tech support was bad, the only solution was to constantly reset my modem…not always an option when I wasn’t physically home.In this case FiOS would win hands down.
