You may find that switching to tires of that size will also require re-gearing your final drive. It depends on what your current gearing is. His was geared with a 3.42 rear end. If you run 20-inch wheels on 33-inch tires, then the amount of total tire sidewall is 13 inches: 6.5 inches at the top and 6.5 inches at the bottom. These tire sizes are roughly 32.7” and come in the form of a 255/85 r16 or 255/80 r17 which is 33×10 (roughly) and will fit on a stock suspension with no lift and little to no rubbing. The width of a 255 works well, as long as you don’t fit negative offset rims or thick wheel spacers.Our first recommendation is 33-inch tires. If you love driving your Trail Boss over paved roads or highways, 33-inch tire size is okay. While it has less off-roading capabilities, it is easier to fit. However, you might have to avoid the wider tire to ease the installation process..
